CALCULATION OF KINETIC PARAMETERS FOR FLUIDISED BED PYROLYSIS OF RICE-HUSK AND SUGARCANE-BAGASSE.
 
Summary :
ABSTRACT. THIS PAPER PRESENTS RESULTS FROM THE DETERMINATION OF KINETIC PARAMETERS FROM THE ARRHENIUS EQUATION (ACTIVATION ENERGY E, ORDER OF REACTION N AND FREQUENCY FACTOR Z) FOR RICE-HUSK AND SUGARCANE BAGASSE. THE RESULTS WERE CALCULATED BY THE MATHEMATIC METHOD DEVELOPD BY SIMMONS AND SÁNCHEZ. EXPERIMENTAL DATA WERE OBTAINED WITH A FLUIDISED BED REACTOR, OPERATING WITH INERT GASES (21% CO2, 79% N2), UNDER TEMPERATURES BETWEEN 975 K AND 1250 K. RESULTS SHOW THAT THE MODEL IS ADEQUATE TO THE PYROLYSIS OF RICE-HUSK, BUT NOT TO THE SUGARCANE-BAGASSE, DUE TO STATISTIC DEVIATION ON THE EXPERIMENTS.
