  • INFORMATIVO ABCM Nº 106/09 – 13th AIAA/ISSMO Multidisciplinary Analysis Optimization Conference

13th AIAA/ISSMO Multidisciplinary Analysis Optimization Conference

    Call for Papers

Authors are invited to submit abstracts to the 13th AIAA/ISSMO Multidisciplinary Analysis Optimization Conference, to be held in Fort Worth, Texas, at Renaissance Worthington Hotel, from 13 to 15 September 2010. The conference is a combined action supported by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and International Society for Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (ISSMO). The theme for the 2010 event will be Enabling Complex Design for the 21st Century.

This conference will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first Multidisciplinary Analysis and Optimization (MA&O) conference. Key advances in methodology, process, and tool development will be presented. Of particular interest are the continuing challenges associated with the design and optimization of large-scale coupled design problems, and the ways in which recent technological advances — particularly in modeling, simulation and visualization — provide an enabling platform for achieving a truly integrated system design. A retrospective panel session with Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) Award winners and leaders in key MA&O areas will assess past contributions to the field, the present state of the art, and the challenges and opportunities that now face the MA&O community.

Abstract submissions are invited for multidisciplinary applications ranging from aerospace to automotive to power systems. Of interest are contributions that address topics in MDO methodology development, optimization method development, uncertainty quantification and incorporation in MDO, design methods with a focus on complex system and vehicle design, MA&O applications and tools, and enabling technologies for MA&O (modeling, simulation, and visualization). Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

    • Applications of MA&O
    • Enabling Technologies for MA&O
    • Multidisciplinary Design Optimization Methodologies
    • Optimization Methods and Algorithms
    • Specially Organized Sessions and Panels
    • Uncertainty and Reliability Methods in MA&O

    Publication schedule is as follows:

    Abstract Deadline: 8 February 2010
    Author Notification: 22 April 2010
Final Manuscript Deadline: 26 August 2010
