  ExHFT-8 conference is organized under the auspices of the Assembly of World Conferences on Experimental Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics. This conference series began in 1988, and has been successfully held in Dubrovnik (1988, 1991), Honolulu (1993), Brussels (1997), Thessaloniki (2001), Matsushima (2005) and Krakow (2009). The Eighth World Conference on Experimental Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics (ExHFT-8) will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from 16 to 20 June, 2013.

  Scientific scope and topics

  The goal of ExHFT-8 is to provide a forum of international exposure for presenting and exchanging new research outcomes, ideas and methodologies in heat transfer, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Papers are welcome on research ranging from fundamental and applied work, to novel experimental techniques and innovative applications. Conference topics include, but are not limited to:

  Abstract and papers submission

  Papers are invited on the topics outlined above. Paper selection will be based on at least two independent reviews of extended abstracts of up to 4 pages, which should be typed double spaced and clearly state the purpose, results and conclusions of the work with supporting figures as appropriate. Papers that do not include experimental research work shall not be accepted.

  Authors of high quality papers will be invited to submit them to special or topical issues of leading journals after the conference.

  Important dates

  • Notification of acceptance: 15 February 2013

  “Procuramos Engenheiros interessados em desenvolver aviões”

  As inscrições para o PEE – Programa de Especialização em Engenharia da Embraer estão abertas até o dia 31 de agosto.

  O PEE – Programa de Especialização em Engenharia – é um programa corporativo da Embraer que tem o objetivo de capacitar engenheiros recém-formados para atuarem nas áreas de engenharia. Em parceria com o ITA, oferece o título de mestrado profissional em engenharia aeronáutica, reconhecido pela CAPES/ MEC. Os cursos e atividades são ministrados nas dependências da empresa pelos professores do ITA, por profissionais da Embraer e consultores contratados.

  Com início em 2001, o PEE já formou 17 turmas com cerca de 1200 engenheiros. No momento três turmas estão em andamento com mais de 160 engenheiros.

  São elegíveis ao PEE, através do processo de seleção 2013, Engenheiros fluentes em inglês graduados entre 2010 e julho de 2013 nas modalidades civil, computação, elétrica, eletrônica, mecânica, mecatrônica, materiais, naval, produção, química ou outras relacionadas a estas.
