12th International Conference on Boiling and Condensation Heat Transfer

On behalf of the organizing committee, we are glad to invite you to attend the “ 12th International Conference on Boiling and Condensation Heat Transfer", which will be held on June 14–17, 2026, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, USA.

The International Conference on Boiling and Condensation Heat Transfer (ICBCHT) is a triennial global forum for researchers and engineers specializing in two-phase heat transfer. Since the early 1990s, it has gathered experts worldwide to share advances in boiling and condensation science, diagnostics, and applications. The 12th ICBCHT, held at MIT in Cambridge, USA, will showcase recent progress in micro- and macro-scale heat transfer, measurement technologies, and the use of AI and machine learning. The conference covers topics like bubble dynamics, heat flux enhancement, phase-change devices, and numerical modelling, aiming to foster discussion and innovation in both foundational mechanisms and real-world applications.

Call for Nominations: 2^nd ERCOFTAC Milton Van Dyke Flow Visualization Competition – Abstract Submission – 1^st February 2026

As the 1st edition of the Milton van Dyke competition 2025 was so well received we would like to announce the 2nd edition which will take place at the University of Pisa on the 16^th April 2026 as part of ERCOFTAC Spring Festival 2026.
 

The Milton Van Dyke prize would be awarded for the most inspiring, thought-provoking or simply most beautiful flow visualization (image or animation, from experiments or simulation) generated during research in fundamental or applied fluid dynamics. The criterion is the aesthetics of the visualization.

ICAS Congress - Deadline for abstract upload extended until 24 January

The deadline to submit the abstracts for the ICAS Congress has been extended until 24 January. Please note that there will be no further extension afterwards.

 

The 35th ICAS congress is taking place from the 13. to 17. Spetember 2026 in Sydney, Australia.

Estão abertas as inscrições para 02 vagas de Pós-Doutorado no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Mecânica (PPGEME) da Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI), em parceria com a Petrobras.

 

Estamos em busca de pesquisadores doutores para atuar em um projeto de P&D inovador, focado no desenvolvimento de metodologias de Machine Learning (RNNs, LSTMs e CNNs) para testes preditivos de BOPs (Blowout Preventers) submarinos.

 

Destaques da Oportunidade:
 

Bolsa: R$ 10.318,00 mensais.

Duração: Até 33 meses.

Projeto: Uso de Inteligência Artificial para antecipar a conclusão de testes de estanqueidade e aumentar a segurança operacional em sondas.

Local: UNIFEI (Itajubá/MG).

 

Perfil do Candidato: Buscamos doutores nas áreas de Engenharia Mecânica, Aeronáutica, Petróleo, Controle e Automação, Produção, Ciência da Computação ou áreas correlatas. É desejável experiência em inteligência artificial aplicada ao monitoramento de processos.

 

Cronograma:
