14th International Fatigue Congress – Fatigue 2026

Welcome to the 14th International Fatigue Congress – Fatigue 2026, which will be held from 29th June to 3rd July 2026 in the stunning city of Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.

Organised by the Portuguese Structural Integrity Society (SPFIE) in collaboration with the Brazilian Association of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering (ABCM), Fatigue 2026 aims to bring together leading researchers, engineers, and professionals from around the world to share the latest developments in fatigue phenomena, structural integrity, and monitoring techniques. This congress represents our ongoing mission to promote focused R&D in applied mechanics and contribute to the development of more reliable and efficient systems.

 

The conference will take place at the Pestana Casino Park Hotel & Casino, one of the premier venues in Funchal. With its world-class facilities and Madeira’s exceptional hospitality, attendees will enjoy an enriching scientific programme in an inspiring natural setting.

Authors are invited to submit a maximum of one-page abstracts (in English), clearly stating the main objectives and methodologies used in their work. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed based on originality, technical quality, and presentation. Authors are asked to prepare an Abstract in the form of both Word doc and PDF (Portable Document Format) files, only one abstract per author, which must be in accordance with the given template.

Projeto de Pesquisa: Sistemas Não Lineares Inspirados em Origâmis - Aplicações em Metamateriais e Computação Morfológica

Estou selecionando, no âmbito da chamada FAPERJ Pós-doutorado Nota 10, interessados em atuar em pesquisa de fronteira envolvendo dinâmica não linear, estruturas inspiradas em origami, metamateriais e computação morfológica.

Formação desejável: doutorado em Engenharia, Matemática, Física ou Computação.

Experiência valorizada: modelagem de sistemas complexos,  software CAD (Fusion, Rhino, etc.), programação em MATLAB e Python.
