Abstract
Hyperduplex steels stand out for their corrosion resistance and application in chemical and oil industries. The autogenous TIG welding process, without the use of filler metal, can cause imbalances in the ferrite-austenite phases and deleterious precipitations, affecting the performance of these steels. This work aims to optimize parameters to ensure the quality and durability of welds in hyperduplex stainless steels, providing superior performance in industrial applications, using the addition of N2 in duplex stainless steels, especially hyperduplex, with the goal of obtaining welded joints with good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
