Abstract
The precarious working conditions faced by healthcare professionals in Brazil’s Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) are among the leading causes of occupational illness and work-related absences. This study aimed to develop a docking platform for a Medication Bag System (MBS), designed to reduce musculoskeletal strain and occupational accidents inside ambulances. The methodology was divided into two main phases. In the first phase, a literature review on ambulance interior design was conducted, alongside interviews with 10 first responders from the city of Bauru (SP), and a trend analysis of hospital products. In the second phase, based on the collected data, sketches and 3D models were created using SolidWorks© software, followed by the physical construction of the MAC fixing platform prototype using MDF wood. Results demonstrated improvements in the organization of emergency equipment, enhanced ergonomic conditions, increased internal safety, and greater efficiency in patient care. It is concluded that the MAC platform has the potential to contribute to the well-being of healthcare professionals by minimizing physical overload and optimizing the internal space of emergency vehicles.
