Abstract
Duplex stainless steels are a class of steels widely used in the petrochemical industry, since they began to be used on a large scale - due to their excellent mechanical properties under tension and in aggressive environments - many scientists have focused on the mission to characterize and validate the characteristics of this league. One of the most common manufacturing processes is TIG welding. The work developed a low-cost TIG orbital welding device in order to intensify studies of the effects of TIG welding on this alloy.
