Abstract
We have three possible forms of nonlinearity, this work has the general objective of showing a comparison between the simulation using the Ansys software, by finit element method, analytical value and nonlinear simulation using the method of large displacements in sheet metal. It will be a metal plate 100 x 300 mm, bi-supported with 1.5 mm thick, with constant pressure. The load applied to the plate starts at zero and gradually increases over time for 50 seconds. It is verified that the simulated and calculated stress values are close to each other both in the X and Z axis at their maximum stresses. For the displacement, it is observed that the deflection exceeds 75% of the thickness of the plate, which generates membrane stress of the plate, which means that the linear solution cannot longer meet our problem, thus having to go to non-linear analysis. When comparing the two, there is a great difference, however, according to the literature, the most appropriate method is the non-linear method to predict and determine the displacement of the part method, since the linear method no longer meets to the problem and comparing the two it is possible to verify a difference of 40%.
