Abstract
The need to obtain materials for the industry that aim to reduce the costs, increase efficiency, minimize waste and reduce manufacturing time, these are fueling the growth of additive manufacturing on all industries. However, in the metal sector, the growth is not so exponential due to difficulties in replicating highly complex geometries and obtaining the necessary mechanical properties. Thus, in this work, our objective is to build a low-cost metal 3D printer, which follows the Binder Jet model, in order to obtain structures that meet the aforementioned requirements. This model consists of the deposition of metal powder, binder with a liquid material, to be able to manufacture the structure previously modelled in software, with the objective to balance the ratio between precision and manufacturing costs. In this project, the preliminary structural design of a 3D printer was achieved using linear guides and servos to perform the control, through Arduino.
