ABSTRACT: THE FRACTURES OF THE CERAMIC ARE DIRECTLY  DEAL WITH  THE THERMAL STRESS GENERATED DURING THE THERMAL SHOCKS. NUMERIC AND EXPERIMENTAL METHODS  HAVE BEEN PROPOSED FOR THE DETERMINATION OF THESE STRESS, MANY OF THE WHICH  HAVE NOT  BEEN TAKING IN CONSIDERATION THE THERMAL DEPENDENCE OF THE PROPERTIES OF THE MATERIAL. THE PRESENT WORK USES THE ANALYTIC PROCEDURE INCLUDED ON THE GENERALIZED INTEGRAL TRANSFORM TECHNIQUE  (GITT), FOR OBTAINING OF THE DISTRIBUTION OF TEMPERATURES IN THE SAMPLE AND EVALUATION OF THE MAXIMUM THERMAL STRESS AS A FUNCTION OF THE FOURIER NUMBER.
