LOCAL NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF THE INTERFACE TRANSPORT
ABSTRACT: IN THIS WORK METHOD FOR MODELING TWO-PHASE FLOWS IS PRESENTED. IT PERMITS MODELING INTERFACE TRANSPORT AND DEFORMATION WHEN IT IS SUBMITED TO SHEAR EFFECTS. THIS METODOLOGY IS BASED ON A MIXT LAGRANGEAN/EULERIAN FORMULATION. THE CONTINUOS PHASE IS MODELED BY A EULERIAN FORMULATION AND THE DISPERSE PHASE BY A LAGRANGEAN FORMULATION. IN THE PRESENT WORK, TWO-DIMENSIONAL BUBLE TRANSPORT SIMULATION ARE PERFORMED. THE COMPLETE NAVEIR-STOKES,EQUATIONS WITH VARIABLE PHYSICAL PROPERTY AND WITH INTERFACIAL FORCE ARE SOLVED. THE PRESSURE JUMP OVER THE INTERFACE IS WELL PREDICTED WHEN COMPARED WITH ANALITICAL SOLUTION FOR THE CASE OF A CIRCULAR BUBLE.
