USING EXPANDED POLIETHILENE COMBINED WITH RUBBER PADS IN FLOATING FLOORS
Resumo :
FLOATING FLOORS ARE USED IN SEVERAL INDUSTRIAL AND ARCHITECTURAL ACOUSTICS APPLICATIONS, TO ATTENNUATE THE TRANSMISSION OF VIBRATION, IMPACT AND AIR-BOURNE SOUND THROUGH THE FLOOR. THEIR USE HAS BEEN SPREADING OUT IN HIGH QUALITY RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS, SPECIALLY FOR NOISY AREAS, SUCH AS HOME-TEATHERS AND GYM ROOMS, AND ALSO IN DANCE ACADEMIES, CINEMAS, BOWLING COURTS, HOSPITALS, STUDIOS AND OTHER ENVIRONMENTS WITH INTENSE SOURCES AND/OR SENSITIVE RECEIVERS. IN THIS WORK, A NEW CONSTRUCTIVE TECHNIQUE FOR FLOATING FLOORS IS PRESENTED. THE RESILIENT LAYER IS A COMBINATION OF EXPANDED PLIETHILENE BLANKETS WITH RUBBER PADS WITH LOW SHAPE FACTOR. THE FLOATING FLOOR IS USSUALLY A CONCRETE SLAB. THE TCHNIQUE ELLIMINATES THE NECESSITY OF A LOST WOODEN MOULD, THE MATERIAL BEING IMPERVIOUS. MATERIAL SETTLING BY CREEP IS VIRTUALLY ELIMINATED AND THE ADMISSIBLE LOAD AND FLEXIBILITY MAY BE ADJUSTED ACCORDING TO THE USAGE OF EACH REGION OF THE FLOOR. |
