ABSTRACT
THIS PAPER PRESENTS RESULTS OF A SIMPLE GAS-TURBINE BIOMASS-INTEGRATED SYSTEM APPLIED IN A WOOD INDUSTRY. THE RESULTS COMPRISE BOTH THERMODYNAMICAL AND ECONOMICAL ASPECTS. THE FORMER ANALYSES THE HEAT AND POWER YIELD IN A COGENERATION SYSTEM, THE FUEL OF WHICH IS GAS FROM THE WOOD WASTES, GASIFIED IN A FLUIDEZED BED GASIFIER. DIFFERENT TURBINE INLET TEMPERATURES AND PRESSURE RATIOS ARE USED; THE GAS TURBINE IS OPERATES AT THE DESIGN POINT. ENERGY COSTS RELATED TO THE CYCLE REGARDING SPECIFIC OPERATION AND THERMAL PARAMETERS ARE CALCULATED AND ANALYSED.
