ABSTRACT. MANY COMPANIES ARE IMPLEMENTING ERP (ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING) SYSTEMS TO INTEGRATE THEIR BUSINESS PROCESS. HOWEVER, IN MANY CASES, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES REMAINS OUT OF THIS INTEGRATION. ONE OF THE MAJOR CHALLENGES TO INCREASE THE ERP ADHERENCE TO PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES IS THE IDENTIFICATION OF THE FUNCTIONS THAT CAN BE USED TO SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS PROCESS ACTIVITIES. USUALLY, THESE FUNCTIONS ARE DISPERSE AMONG MANY OF THE SYSTEMS MODULES. THIS PAPER PRESENTS A SYSTEMATIZATION OF AN ERP SYSTEM FUNCTIONS THAT SUPPORT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES. THE METHODOLOGY USED ADMIT THAT THESE FUNCTIONS ARE THAN COMPARED TO ENTERPRISES BUSINESS PROCESS REQUIREMENTS.
