ABSTRACT. THIS PAPER DESCRIBES AN ADEQUATE METHODOLOGY TO IDENTIFY PERIODIC COMPONENTS, WHICH ARE PRESENT IN PREDOMINANTLY ALEATORY SIGNALS. THE INDIVIDUALIZATION OF THESE PERIODIC COMPONENTS, EVEN WHEN THEY PRESENT LOW POWER, IS IMPORTANT FOR DETERMINATION OF THE STATISTICS CHARACTERISTICS OF THESE SIGNALS. IN THE PARTICULAR CASE THAT ORIGINATED THIS PAPER, WE HAD AS A GOAL THE IDENTIFICATION OF PERIODIC COMPONENTS THAT WERE CREATED BY PHENOMENA STRANGE TO THE GYROMETRIC BLOCK NORMAL WORKING. THIS WAS NECESSARY IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A PRECISE STATIC MODEL OF THIS BLOCK, WHICH COULD RELATE MEASURED SIGNALS WITH THEIR ACTUAL VALUES, WITHIN A MINIMUM ERROR LEVEL. WE SEARCH FOR A AUTOMATIC AND DIRECT METHOD BASED ON THE CLASSICAL POWER SPECTRAL DENSITY DETERMINATION TECHNIQUE.
