ABSTRACT: A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR EXTRACTION OF VEGETABLE OIL IN A INDUSTRIAL INSTALLATION OF THE TYPE "DE SMET " IS MADE IN THIS WORK. THE PHYSICS SCHEME CONSIDERS: MASS TRANSFER AMONG PARTICLES OF MATTER AND PHASE " BULK "; DIFFUSION FOR WHOLE EXTRACTION FIELD; PARTICULARITIES OF THE DRAINAGE SECTIONS AND OF SHIPMENT; REGIME TRANSIENT OF THE OPERATION OF THE EXTRACTOR; OIL TRANSFER BETWEEN THE SOLID PHASES AND PORE; EXISTENCE OF " BAGS " IN EACH WASH SECTION. THE MATHEMATICAL MODEL IS FORMED BYPARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS. THE ALGORITHM IS BASED ON THE METHOD OF LINES. THE NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS THAT DEMONSTRATED THE AGREEMENT WITH THE LAWS OF THE PHYSICAL-CHEMISTRY PHENOMENA AND, THEY EXPLAIN THE PARTICULARITIES OF THE OPERATION OF THE EXTRACTOR AND ADMIT TO EVALUATE THE INFLUENCES OF PARAMETERS OF THE REGIME IN ITS CHARACTERISTICS.
