This symposium
is the first initiative within the Brazilian Congress of Mechanical Engineering
to gather technical papers which used to be spread throughout different
technical sessions on system modeling and control into one symposium named
Mechatronics.
The aim of Mechatronics
is to join, in a consistent way, the mechanical, electronic, electrical,
and computational technologies. Besides the technical sessions, the symposium
involves keynote talks on the state of the art of Mechatronics in Japan
and on the research and teaching of Mechatronics in Brazil.
