DA UTILIZAÇÃO DE CBN NO FRESAMENTO DE BLOCOS MOTORES DE FERRO FUNDIDO

Com a
introdução de juntas metálicas nos motores automotivos, as quais conferem
maior rigidez na junção entre o bloco motor e o cabeçote, evidenciou-se a
necessidade da usinagem de um plano perfeito, onde a exigência do
acabamento superficial e os erros de forma devem ser parametrizados com
tolerâncias mais precisas. Este trabalho investigou a utilização de
fresas com insertos de CBN com
duas tecnologias de fixação. Foram também avaliados a geometria dos
insertos nos sistemas alisadores e no sistema “octo”, onde intercala
insertos alisadores com geometria “octo”. Variou-se a profundidade de
corte (ap) e o avanço (f) nos dois sistemas e avaliado o
comportamento do desgaste (VBBmáx), a rebarba na saída (h), a
rugosidade (Ra e Rt), as ondulações (Wt)
e também correlacionado com dispersão encontrada no batimento radial dos
insertos. Ficou evidenciado um melhor controle da rebarba com profundidade
de corte maiores e um melhor controle de rugosidade com o sistema alisador.

Two face milling system has been studied in this work, to machining gray
cast ion in high speed cutting. The difference between face milling with
24 wiper insert in all milling , and the face milling with 24 insert
“Octo” and 6 wiper insert, were investigated . Were investigated the
surface finish (Ra and Rt),
surface profile, waviness (Wt),
flank wear (VBBmáx) and Foot forming (h).
The better result has
been obtained when we used depth of cut = 0,5mm, and feed rate=0,06/teeth,
on the face milling “A”, that use the wiper insert in all
face milling. The face milling “A”, obtained the better performance, and
maintained the parameter of the surface finish quality demanded , achieved
the processes continuity, and machining the 3050 Cylinder Block. The milling
burr minimization, was also obtained when machining with face milling
“A”.
