A
força de usinagem pode ser relacionada à qualidade superficial obtida,
principalmente, em operações de acabamento. A relação entre estes parâmetros
já foi analisada por diversos pesquisadores da área de usinagem de
madeiras maciças, principalmente na usinagem de madeiras de floresta nativa
da zona temperada como, por exemplo, “Fichte” e “Rotbuche”.
Entretanto, para a usinagem com ferramentas de metal duro das espécies
Eucalyptus grandis e Eucalyptus dunnii abordados neste trabalho realizado no
IWF - Braunschweig, Alemanha, são encontrados poucos resultados de pesquisa
sobre este tema. A dificuldade para a medição de forças em níveis como
os que ocorrem na usinagem destes materiais, principalmente no fresamento em
alta velocidade, aliada a uma importância secundária que tais madeiras
desempenharam no campo de fabricação moveleira nos últimos anos, podem
ser considerados entre os principais motivos para que este assunto não
tenha tido um maior destaque. A determinação da pressão específica de
corte na usinagem de madeira é de grande importância, pois possibilita o cálculo
das forças e da potência de corte necessárias para uma determinada taxa
de remoção de cavaco.

ANALYZING
THE CUTTING FORCE IN THE HIGH SPEED CUTTING OF THE EUCALYPTUS GRANDIS E
EUCALYPTUS DUNNII |

The
cutting force can be related to the superficial quality obteined, mainly, in
finish. The relation between these parameters was allready analysed by
several researchers from the cutting of bulk wood area, mainly in the
cutting of wood from native tempering zone forests, for example Fichte and
Rotbuche. However, few sources for the research on the subject handle in
this investigation of the cutting with hard metal tools from the species:
Eucalyptus grandis and Eucalyptus dunnii, were fond. This work was carried
out by the IWF- Braunschweig, Germany. The difficulty in measuring the
levels of force that occur in the cutting of these materials, mainly during
the milling in high speed, together with the secondary role that such wood
played in the manufacture of furniture in the recents years, could be
considered the main reason why this subject did not receive much attention.
Establisching the specific cutting pressure in the cutting of wood is of
greate importance because it makes possible the for the calculation of the
force and power of cut needed to determine the exact the necessary cutting
forces.
