<b>Abstract.</b> This work presents a study about the importance of boilers operation and maintenance teaching in engineering courses. Its main purpose is to wake up for the need of enlarging the teaching of that content, because current accidents of inadequate operation and maintenance, generally, they provoke deaths and general loss of the equipment.
