Abstract. The experimental void fraction determination of a biphase flow is sometimes very hard and careful, but get valuable information about the flow. When no flow interference by probes is desire or when a layout change makes the measurement very difficult, capacitive sensors are a great alternative, especially because of low coast and simplicity related to this technique. In this work void fraction data of an oil-refrigerant mixture flow are shown. The test section where the mixture flows is a 10 m glass tube and several parameters like mass flow, temperature and solubility were controlled to get many data as possible that was very important to understand the flow studied. The best results are shown and discussed here.
