It must be able to correlate with fidelity capacitance data and other parameters of interest. Many procedures are used to do it, and almost all of it have a preoccupation with flow patterns. The signal of a capacitive sensor can be different to different flow patterns. This work shows and discuss a choice of a sensor that is not influenced by the flow patterns, throw old works review and presenting a new idea to do calibration of a capacitive sensor in a multiphase flow that bubbly-flow was the pattern predominant. The sensor geometry is responsible for calibration curve linearity and it also determine the intensity of flow patterns dependence. Keywords. capacitive sensors, calibration, void fraction, multiphase flow.
