<b>Abstract.</b> This paper presents the conceptual design of the necessary systems for the operation and for the performance tests of a PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cells module of 1 kW of electric power. The most important systems discussed are: gases supply systems, feed water system and heat removal system. The estimative of gases consumption and module efficiency are also presented.
