This work presents a proposal for reuse of effluents originated from the preparation and dyeing processes of the textile industries. These steps are characterized aiming to increase the efficiency in the use of water and energy, through the minimization or recycling of effluents generated in the productive process of the textile Industry. The following parameters were determined: color, turbidity, temperature, pH, partial and total alkalinity, total conductivity, suspended solids, fixed solids, total dissolved solids, iron, and organic substances determined by the chemical oxygen demand, in a representative textile industry of Santa Catarina state. A strategy was established for effluent reuse from the fabric processing of the black color batches. Keywords. effluents, reutilization, textile industry.
