Abstract. Ventilated facade system is constituted by a covering material layer slightly distanced of building external wall, forming a ventilated air layer between this revestment layer and the external wall. By effect of pressure and temperature gradients can occur a air movement phenomenum, knowed as effect chimney. In countries as Italy and Germany, ventilated facades use is current, while in Brazil the system is still not used, and neither there are studies that demonstrates the device efficiency. The aim is to analyze the thermal behavior in south of Brazil (Tijucas, SC), in conditions of winter and summer, of such systems covered with porcelainized stoneware. The analysis tool was a new type of heat flux transductor that showed highly efficient in measured of thermal exchanges. Are shown the results of heat fluxes in the walls conventional and ventilated in a climatized constructive module, beyond the efficiency relation lost/profit of heat between the walls. In winter, the ventilated wall loses little heat that the common wall in conditions of cloudy/raining, earning, however, little heat in days of sun. In summer, it has minor profit of heat in the wall ventilated in days with or without sun.
