Abstract. In this work, is presented a revision of the main theoretical features of the most used lagrangian particle models in describing the pollutant dispersion process in the atmosphere, under homogeneous, non-homogeneous, non-stationary, gaussian and non-gaussian turbulence conditions, over areas of complex topography.
Keywords. Langevin equation, Well-mixed condition, Lagrangian particle model.
