Abstract. In the present work a mixed Eulerian-Lagrangian method is described and applied to solve steady incompressible laminar isothermal flows in domains presenting irregular boundaries between fluid and solid. The governing equations are solved in fixed non-staggered grids. The irregular boundary between fluid and solid is treated explicitly by markers particles, using the cut-cell techniquel. The finite volume method is used in conjunction with a second order procedure to evaluate flows in the interfacial volumes. Accuracy and efficiency of the Eulerian-Lagrangian method is shown solving three representative problems.
