This is a case that offers a chance to validate the instruments for comparation with theoretical analyses. The theoretical and experimental stadies continue, aiming at to evaluate the behavior in conditions and diverse patterns. In the present work a numerical analysis of an experimentation in a isothermal vertical flat plate will be presented. The heat transfer convection coefficient " h " was determined using heat fluxmeter. This work is motivated by questionings happened during the experimentation, where a curious increase of the convection coefficient was detected when the plate was approach of the base. It will be presented the results of a numerical simulation where the influence of the thickness of the plate is evaluated, thickness of the posterior isolation, edge of attack, distance of the wall and the distance of the base. Keywords. vertical flat plate, convection, heat flux.
