THERMOECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF THE INDUSTRIAL WASTE CO-PROCESSING IN ROTARY KILNS CLINKER WITH PREHEATERS AND PRECALCINERS
THE ACTIVITY OF THE INDUSTRIAL WASTE CO-PROCESSING REPRESENTS TODAY A VIABLE ALTERNATIVE TO DESTRUCTION WITH USE OF ENERGY IN THE ROTARY KILNS OF THE CEMENT PLANTS. THIS WORK PRESENTS THE RESULTS OF A THERMOECONOMIC EVALUATION OF THE CO-PROCESSING ACTIVITY IN ROTARY KILNS WITH PREHEATS AND PRECALCINERS. IN THIS TYPE OF KILN, THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY FUELS, AS WELL THE FUEL DERIVED OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE ARE INTRODUCED IN THIS BURNERS. IN THE KILN S PRINCIPAL BURNERS, THE TEMPERATURE OF FLAME REACHES 2000 ºC, AND IN THE SECONDARY BURNER THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE IS AROUND 1200 ºC. THUS, KNOWN THE TYPE OF FUEL AND INDUSTRIAL WASTE IN CO-PROCESSING, THE QUANTITIES OF RAW MIX UTILISED, AND THE CHARACTERISTICS OF KILN S OPERATIONS, IT WAS EVALUATED THE CLINKER PRODUCTION PROCESS UTILISING THE THERMOECONOMIC THEORY, WHICH THE RESULTS ARE PRESENTED AND DISCUSSED.
