CONTROL MECHANISMS OF SOLID FUEL COMBUSTION
ABSTRACT: IN THIS PAPER WE ANALYZE EXPERIMENTAL CONDITIONS, AND BURNING DATA ALREADY EXISTING IN THE LITERATURE AND PROBE THE AUTHORS ASSUMPTIONS ON BURNING CONTROL MECHANISMS. WE PRESENT A COMPARATIVE GRAPHIC STUDY OF THEORETICAL PREDICTIONS FOR THREE BURNING MODELS VERSUS EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS FOR DIFFERENTS FUELS. WE CONCLUDE THAT A GOOD PHYSICAL CHEMICAL CHARACTERIZATION AND EXPERIMENTAL BURNING DATA OVER A WIDE RANGE OF TEMPERATURE IS NEEDED TO ESTABLISH A COMPREHENSIVE MODEL FORMULATION AND A SOUND BURNING CONTROL MECHANISM PREDICTION
