ABSTRACT: THIS WORK REPORTS A NUMERICAL SCHEME FOR THE EVALUATION OF THE PRESSURE GRADIENT IN THE MOMENTUM EQUATIONS WHEN NON-STRUCTURED GRIDS ARE USED. THE METHODOLOGY IS BASED ON THE WELL-KNOWN CVFEM OF BALIGA AND PATANKAR. THE PROPOSITION AIMS TO MINIMIZE THE EFFECTS OF THE DISTORTION OF THE GRID ON THE PRESSURE GRADIENT CALCULATION. THE RESULTS ARE COMPARED WITH THE CLASSIFICAL FORMULATION OF FINITE-VOLUME USING STRUCTURED GRIDS AND THE NON-STRUCTURED FORMULATION USING VORONOI DIAGRAMS.
