ABSTRACT. PRESENT DAY FOCUS AND EMPHASIS IN RESERVOIR ENGINEERING RESEARCH AND PRACTICAL APPLICATION LIES IN THE INTEGRATION OF DIVERSE SOURCES OF DATA FOR THE PURPOSE OF GENERATING ACCURATE RESERVOIR DESCRIPTIONS. HOWEVER, THE MAJORITY OF THE AVAILABLE TECHNIQUES ONLY ALLOW US TO USE DATA FROM LIMITED SOURCES. VERY OFTEN ONLY CORE, WELL-LOG, SEISMIC DATA AND GEOLOGICAL INFORMATION ARE INCORPORATED INTO THE RESERVOIR MODEL. VALUABLE DATA, SUCH AS WELL TEST RESULTS, ARE OFTEN NOT INCLUDED.
THIS WORK MAKES AN OVERVIEW OF THE METHODOLOGIES MOST OFTEN ENCOUNTERED IN THE LITERATURE USED TO INCORPORATE WELL TEST DATA IN GEOSTATISTICAL MODELS OF RESERVOIR HETEROGENEITIES. BOTH, LIMITATIONS AND POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF THESE METHODS ARE HIGHLIGHTED. AT THE END, SOME EXAMPLES ARE DISCUSSED.
