ABSTRACT: AN APPROXIMATE ANALYTICAL SOLUTION FOR TRANSIENT LAMINAR FORCED CONVECTION INSIDE A PARALLEL PLATES CHANNEL IS OBTAINED THROUGH INTEGRAL TRANSFORMATION. THE COMBINATION OF THE GENERALIZED INTEGRAL TRANSFORM TECHNIQUE AND LAPLACE TRANSFORM ALLOWS FOR OBTAINING THE TEMPERATURE FIELD IN EXPLICIT FORM, WITH IN THE THERMAL ENTRANCE REGION. THE APPROXIMATE ANALYTICAL SOLUTION IS COMPARED TO THE EXACT SOLUTION AND IS PROPOSED AS A TRANSIENT FILTER FOR FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS.
