THE PRESENT CONTRIBUTION REPORTS ON AN OVERVIEW OF THE CONSTITUTIVE MODELS WITH ASSUMED PHASE TRANSFORMATION KINETICS TO DESCRIBE THE THERMO-MECHANICAL BEHAVIOR OF SHAPE MEMORY ALLOYS. NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS ARE PROVIDED AND SOME COMPARISONS ARE EVALUATED POINTING OUT SOME DISCREPANCIES AMONG THEM. HYSTERESIS SUBLOOPS DUE TO INCOMPLETE PHASE TRANSFORMATIONS ARE ALSO CONSIDERED.
