ABSTRACT. THIS WORK DESCRIBES AN ANALYSIS OF POWER FLOW AND COUPLING LOSS FACTORS BETWEEN BEAM REINFORCED PLATES BY THE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD. THE REINFORCED BEAMS ARE MODELED AS TIMOSHENKO BEAM ELEMENTS AND BY SHELL ELEMENTS, WHICH YIELDED TO SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT RESULTS. THE POWER TRANSMITTED THROUGH THE SEVERAL INTERNAL FORCES AND MOMENTS, ACTING AT THE PLATES AND BEAMS JOINTS, ARE ALSO ANALYSED.
