ABSTRACT. IT DESCRIBES THE CALCULUS METHODOLOGY FOR LINKS WEAR OF REVOLUTE AND PRISMATIC PAIRS OF THE PLANAR MECHANISMS WITH ONE DEGREE OF FREEDOM. IT PROVIDES THE WAY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF DETERMINATION OF CONTACT POINTS COORDINATES. THE KINEMATIC AND MECHANISM FORCE ANALYSIS ALLOWS TO DEFINE THE NECESSARY PARAMETERS FOR WEAR CALCULATION: THE ANALOGOUS OF SLIDING VELOCITY AND THE SPECIFIC PRESSURE AS FUNCTION OF GENERALISED COORDINATE OF MECHANISM AT ANY CONTACT POINT. THEY ARE GIVEN THE FORMULAS FOR NUMERIC CALCULUS THAT ENABLE TO CONSTRUCT DISTRIBUTED WEAR DIAGRAMS FOR EACH CONTACT SURFACE OF KINEMATIC PAIR. IT S INCLUDED THE CALCULUS OF THE WEAR IN REVOLUTE AND PRISMATIC KINEMATIC PAIRS, FOR EXAMPLE THE SLIDER-CRANK MECHANISM.
