WHEN DAMPING IS NOT PROPORTIONAL TO MASS OR/AND STIFFNESS, THE SOLUTION OF THE SYSTEM CAN BE ACHIEVED IN A RIGOROUS WAY IF SOLVED IN FREQUENCY DOMAIN. THESE WORK PRESENTS AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD TO TREAT DYNAMIC SYSTEMS WITH NON PROPORTIONAL DAMPING IN FREQUENCY DOMAIN. FOR SUCH, AN ITERATIVE STRATEGY WITH PSEUDO FORCES AND A CHANGE FROM THE PHYSICAL COORDINATES OF THE SYSTEM INTIME BASE TO THE MODAL COORDINATES IN FREQUENCY DOMAI WERE APPLIED.
