CONTROLE DE ESTRUTURAS FLEXÍVEIS UTILIZANDO PASTILHAS PIEZOELÉTRICAS
 
Resumo :
ABSTRACT CONTROL OF FLEXIBLE STRUCTURES USING PIEZELETRIC PATCHES SMART STRUCTURES AND SYSTEMS ARE DEVICES CONTAINING SENSORS, ACTUATORS AND ABILITY TO SIGNAL MICROPROCESSING. THEY CAN BE USED IN APPLICATIONS WHICH REQUIRE HIGH LEVEL OF ADAPTATIONS TO CHANGES IN INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONDITIONS. THE ADVENT OF SMART STRUCTURES MADE POSSIBLE MANY TYPES OF PROJECT, CONSTRUCTION AND STRUCTURE CONTROL, NEW SHAPE MEMORY ALLOYS, BESIDES ACTUATORS AND PIEZELETRIC SENSORS TO CONTROL SYSTEMS. THE PIEZELETRICITY IS THE MATERIAL CAPACITY TO GENERATE AN ELETRIC CHARGE WHEN SUBJECTED TO MECHANICAL DEFORMATIONS AND VICE-VERSA. THIS WORK CONSISTS OF MODELING AND CONTROL OF A BEAM CANTILLEVERED WITH ACTUATION OF PIEZELETRIC CERAMICS, COMPOSED OF ACTUATORS AND SENSORS THAT WORK TOGETHER IN SUCH A WAY TO ALLOW THE EFFECTIVE CONTROL OF THE STRUCTURE. THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THIS WORK IS TO CONTROL THE MOVEMENT OF THE ENTIRE SLEWING STRUCTURE. THE SYSTEM IS MODELED BY MEANS OF ASSUMED MODES AND AN OPTIMAL LQR CONTROL STRATEGY IS ADOPTED.
