 Titulo:
MODELING, PLANNING AND ANALYSIS OF MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS BASED ON PETRI NETS

Resumo :
THE MARKET IS CHARACTERISED NOT ONLY BY RAPIDLY CHANGING TECHNOLOGIES BUT ALSO IMPROVING CUSTOMER CHOICE, WITH EVER-INCREASING DEMAND FOR VARIETY, AND FIERCE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION. THIS IMPLIES IN HIGH-VARIETY, SMALL BATCH VOLUME PRODUCTS OF HIGH QUALITY. IN THIS CONTEXT, THE COMPLEXITY OF AUTOMATED SYSTEMS IS INCREASING, DEMANDING NEW WAYS FOR MODELLING AND ANALYSIS. THOSE SYSTEMS ARE CLASSIFIED AS DISCRETE EVENT DYNAMIC SYSTEMS (DEDS), WHERE THE STATES ARE MODIFIED BY A FUNCTION OF SPECIFIC EVENTS. THIS PAPER INTENDS TO PRESENT THE PETRI NETS, ITS MODIFICATIONS AND METHODS BASED ON THESE FORMALISMS, COMPARING THEIR EFFICIENCY IN MODELLING, ANALYSIS AND CONTROL OF PROCESSES IN THE MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS.
