 Titulo:
RESULTADOS TEÓRICOS PARA TURBULÊNCIA GERADA POR DUAS GRELHAS OSCILANTES

Resumo :
ISOTROPIC TURBULENCE MAY BE GENERATED BETWEEN TWO OSCILLATING GRIDS AND IS GOVERNED BY DIFFUSION AND DISSIPATION PROCESSES FOR GREATER DISTANCES FROM THE GRIDS. THIS FACT IS USED TOGETHER WITH THE K-EPSILON MODEL TO DESCRIBE THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE KINETIC ENERGY AND ITS DISSIPATION RATE BETWEEN THE GRIDS. STATIONARY TURBULENCE IS CONSIDERED. A THEORETICAL SOLUTION (IN THE FORM OF AN ELIPTIC INTEGRAL) IS OBTAINED FOR CONSTANT TURBULENT VISCOSITY. OTHERHAND, FOR GENERAL TURBULENT VISCOSITY, A SOLUTION IN THE FORM OF POWER SERIES FOR K AND EPSILON IS FURNISHED. IT IS SHOWN THAT THIS GENERAL SOLUTION ALSO PRODUCES A CONSTANT TURBULENT VISCOSITY NEAR THE ORIGIN, WHICH VALIDATES THE CLOSED SOLUTION IN THE FORM OF AN ELIPTIC INTEGRAL.
