 Titulo:
ELECTRICAL ENERGY CONSERVATION IN WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS: OPERATIONAL OPTIMIZATION OF MACAPÁ S NETWORK

Resumo :
THIS PAPER PRESENTS A MULTICRITERIA OPTIMIZATION MODEL FOR WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS PUMPING, WITH A CASE STUDY IN MACAPÁ. THE OBJECTIVE FUNCTIONS TO BE MINIMIZED ARE THE DEMAND AND COST OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY. TO EVALUATE THE RESULTS OF THIS MODEL, IT WAS PERFORMED AN OPERATIONAL SIMULATION OF THE MACAPÁ’S WATER NETWORK. THIS SIMULATION IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT THE ACTUAL OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM. THE RESULTS OF THE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS SHOWED A REDUCTION POTENTIAL OF ABOUT 5,5% IN THE ELECTRICITY DEMAND. IN TERMS OF THE OPERATIONAL COSTS, THE REDUCTION VARIED FROM 5,5% TO 24%, ACCORDING TO THE ADOPTED ELECTRICAL ENERGY TARIFF.
