 Titulo:
NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF THE HYDRODYNAMIC BEHAVIOR OF A FALLING FILM ON A VERTICAL TUBE WITH EXTERNAL SPIRAL FIN

Resumo :
THE WORK CONSISTS OF OPTIMIZING THE DISTRIBUTION OF A FALLING FILM LIQUID ALONG A FIN SURFACE. THE DEVICE, WHOSE HYDRODYNAMIC IT IS MODELED, CONSISTS OF A SPIRAL FIN FASTENED EXTERNALLY TO A VERTICAL TUBE. THE BEHAVIOR OF THE LIQUID IS STUDIED FLOWING EXTERNALLY ON THIS DEVICE, THROUGH A NUMERICAL SIMULATION, BEING DETERMINED THE BETTER CONDITIONS SO THAT IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ANY DRY POINT, IN THE SURFACES SUPERIOR AND INFERIOR OF THE SPIRAL FIN, AS WELL AS IN THE VERTICAL WALL OF THE TUBE. THROUGH THIS SIMULATION, IT IS MAXIMIZED THE RELATIONSHIP WET SURFACE - MASS FLOW AND THE PROJECT PARAMETERS, SUPPLYING SUBSIDIES TO OPTIMIZE THE HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER, PROCESSED IN THE FLOW. KEY-WORDS: FALLING FILM, HYDRODYNAMIC, NUMERICAL SIMULATION, MASS TRANSFER, EXTERNAL SPIRAL FIN.
