 Titulo:
MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF AN AIR VANE PNEUMATIC MOTOR

Resumo :
THIS WORK CONSISTS IN THE STUDY OF THE DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR OF AN ACTUATOR SYSTEM COMPOSED BY AN AIR VANE MOTOR COUPLED WITH A HIGH REDUCTION RATIO SPEED REDUCER CALLED HERE HIGH STIFF AIR MOTOR (MPAR). THE STUDY OF THE MPAR DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR IS PERFORMED THROUGH THE ELABORATION OF A PHYSICAL MODEL AND AN EXPERIMENTAL APPARATUS. THE MODEL IS COMPOSED BY THREE NONLINEAR FIRST ORDER DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS THAT REPRESENT THE MASS BALANCES IN THE TWO AIR MOTOR CHAMBERS AND THE MOMENTUM BALANCE IN THE REDUCER OUTPUT SHAFT. THE PARAMETERS OF THE MODEL ARE DETERMINED BY THE USE OF EXPERIMENTAL DATA. BY THE COMPARISON BETWEEN THE RESPONSES OF THE MODEL AND THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS WE CONCLUDED THAT THE MODEL DESCRIBES THE MPAR BEHAVIOR VERY WELL. KEYWORDS: AIR-MOTOR, DYNAMICS.
