 Titulo:
LOW BACK PRESSURE FLOW REGULATING VALVE

Resumo :
THIS WORK PRESENTS A NEW CONCEPT OF PROPORTIONAL VALVE WHICH ALLOWS AN IMPROVED USED OF THE AVAILABLE ENERGY. THE VALVE CONFIGURATION IS A MODIFICATION OF A FOUR-WAY LINEAR PLATE VALVE WHICH ALLOWS THE DIRECT ACTUATION OF THE VALVE DISC IN A SIMPLE FORM. THE PLATE VALVE IS PROBABLY THE ONLY KIND THAT ALLOWS IN A SIMPLE WAY THE AREA OF THE RETURN ORIFICE TO BE DIFFERENT TO THE AREA OF THE PRESSURE ORIFICE. AS THE AREA OF THE RETURN ORIFICE INCREASES WITH RESPECT TO AREA OF THE PRESSURE ORIFICE BETTER IS THE CONTROL OF THE SYSTEM, HIGHER IS THE SPEED OF THE MOTOR OR PISTON, AND BETTER IS THE USE OF THE AVAILABLE ENERGY. THIS WORK PERFORMS A THEORETICAL STUDY ABOUT THE INFLUENCE OF THE RATIO BETWEEN THE AREAS OF THE RETURN AND PRESSURE ORIFICES IN THE CONTROL AND IN THE USE OF THE ENERGY IN PNEUMATIC SYSTEMS. PRACTICALLY ALL THE ADVANTAGES OBTAINED WITH THIS VALVE IN PNEUMATIC SYSTEMS ARE ALSO OBSERVED IN HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS. EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS ARE PRESENTED FOR THE VALVE COUPLED WITH A PNEUMATIC VANE MOTOR AND THESE RESULTS CONFIRM THE THEORETICAL DEVELOPMENT. KEYWORDS: PNEUMATICS, PROPORTIONAL VALVE.
