Resumo :
COMBUSTION INSTABILITY IN THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER OF JET PROPULSION SYSTEM CAN BE PREVENTED WITH TEDIOUS EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORICAL APPROACHES. THIS WORK PRESENTS AN INTERPRETATION OF THE RAYLEIGH CRITERION APPLIED TO PROPULSION DEVICES. THE ENERGY ADDED TO THE ACOUSTIC FIELD IS THE ENERGY RELEASED BY COMBUSTION PROCESSES. THIS ANALYSIS PROPOSES ONE EXPLICIT FORMULATION OF RAYLEIGH“S CRITERION TO ANALYZE THE PRESSURE OSCILLATIONS IN COMBUSTION CHAMBER.
