INTEGRAÇÃO DE FERRAMENTAS CAE PARA INTEGRATION OF CAE TOOLS TO DESIGN AND SIMULATION OF ADAPTIVE STRUCTURES
 
Summary :
ABSTRACT. THIS WORK PRESENTS THE INTEGRATION OF CAE PROGRAMMING TOOLS SUCH AS ADAMS®, ANSYS® AND MATLAB®, TO OBTAIN A LINEAR MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF A MULTIBODY MECHANICAL DYNAMICAL SYSTEM WITH FLEXIBLE APPENDAGES. THE OBTAINED MODEL IS EMPLOYED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF LINEAR CONTROL STRATEGIES FOR ACTIVE POSITIONAL CONTROL OF THE MULTIBODY FLEXIBLE SYSTEM. THE INTEGRATION OF THESE DIFFERENT SOFTWARE ENVIRONMENTS IS APPLIED TO AN AEROSPACE CASE STUDY REPRESENTATIVE OF A SATELLITE WITH FLEXIBLE SOLAR PANELS. THE STUDY COMPREHENDS TWO COMPLEMENTARY PHASES. IN THE FIRST ONE THE INTEGRATION OF THE SOFTWARE ADAMS® AND ANSYS® IS CARRIED OUT TO INCLUDE THE DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FLEXIBLE APPENDAGES. THE LINEAR MODEL OF THE DISCRETIZED SYSTEM IS EMPLOYED IN THE SECOND PHASE TO CARRY OUT CONTROL STRATEGIES STUDIES IN THE MATLAB® ENVIRONMENT. THE ELECTED CONTROL STRATEGIES ARE TRANSPORTED TO THE ADAMS® GRAPHICAL ENVIRONMENT TO SIMULATE THE FLEXIBLE MULTIBODY DYNAMIC SYSTEM IN CLOSED LOOP. MODEL VALIDATION STUDIES ARE CARRIED OUT BY COMPARING SIMULATION RESULTS WITH EXPERIMENTAL DATA FROM A SIMILAR FLEXIBLE BODY LABORATORY EXPERIMENT.
