Resumo: This paper presents the development and implementation of an automation solution in order to guarantee the sustainability and strategy of the market demand growths for a chemical product used for agriculture. In order to ensure the world-class productivity in an international chemical company which is the main player in the marketplace for the agro-chemical business, a huge project was elaborated to implement new product conveying system to eliminate the operational constraints with the existing vacuum conveyor system. The technological upgrade using bucket conveyors enabled the flexibility and integration among the operations of the manufacturing and packaging facilities throughout a friendly user interface via supervisory system. The major benefits reached were productivity increase, finished good's quality improvements by eliminating product breakage and undesirable dust formation, conveying system reliability increase due to the operating and maintenance constraints minimization, fixed cost reduction and elimination of the ergonomic risks related to the abandoned manual feeding operation. The project was successfully implemented surpassing the goals. The productivity increase allowed the company to achieve a world-class operation in order to attend the growing of the market demand.
